WE ARE EEVRA
Welcome to East End Village Residents Association. We are a non-political, not-for-profit, volunteer-led, community organisation dedicated to enriching community life in our area of East Finchley.
WHAT WE DO
We have 3 simple goals…
WE NURTURE OUR NEIGHBOURHOOD
We help make improvements, organise activities and develop connections with organisations that make things better for all.
WE REPRESENT OUR RESIDENTS
We give residents a united voice and build stronger links with Barnet Council to ensure we all work together in the most effective way possible.
WE FOSTER OUR FUTURE
We keep the community connected, informed and engaged with change.
This includes embracing sustainability, to get the best out of living in the area - now, and for years to come
COMMUNITY PROJECTS
EEVRA work with our resident members to turn opportunity into real action.
We invite all members to email us with ideas and to discuss possible local initiatives that we could embark on together as a community.

FRIENDS OF
MANOR PARK
Friends of Manor Park is our first project and community initiative, established under the guardianship of EEVRA.
MISSION STATEMENT
“THE MISSION OF THE FRIENDS OF MANOR PARK IS TO PROTECT AND NURTURE THIS SMALL OASIS IN THE HEART OF EAST END VILLAGE, AS AN OPEN SPACE FOR ALL, WHICH BENEFITS THE PHYSICAL & MENTAL WELLBEING OF A GROWING & THRIVING COMMUNITY”
We work in the park regularly to tidy-up and improve the space under an ‘Adopt a Place’ application approved by Barnet Council in January 2026.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN
The community worked together to oppose private development of our local green space. Against all the odds, and with huge amounts of passion and dedication, we succeeded in saving the park from destruction. It now remains in community use but needs some TLC after many years of neglect and under investment.
In October 2025, EEVRA submitted a proposal to Barnet Council and our local MP, full of improvements, projects, ideas and suggestions signed by nearly 200 residents, demonstrating the park’s potential and a bright future for this much loved space. This forms the basis of all the work to be done in the months and years ahead, with EEVRA and Barnet Council working in partnership.
You can access the Friends of Manor Park Proposal here
The Friends of Manor Park initiative is affiliated with Barnet Green Space Network, a body of resident volunteer organisations across the borough, that come together with Barnet Council’s Parks Team to improve, promote and support all Parks and greenspaces across the borough.

The goal is for Manor Park to become a shining example in the borough, in line with the council’s vision in the Barnet Plan:
“Our vision is to make Barnet’s parks & open spaces the best in London.”
